Letter to Rini

Selfie
Dear darling Rinush Rini,
You turned three on the 24th of February and since then I have been meaning to write you a letter. One thing or the other kept me away from doing this. However the letter that you dropped into the letter box yesterday made me think that my letter is overdue.
Your letter was a piece of paper on which you had drawn some lines and a few alphabets and was not meant for anyone in particular, you were however pretty adamant about dropping it into a letterbox. I suspect this has something to do with your favorite Doreamon and Nobita posting  something earlier in the day.
I saw you and Dadda walk across solemnly to the letterbox while I waited in the car and after a brief discussion the precious piece got dropped. I smiled and wondered what the postman would make of it if he found it.
At KFC, ur favorite joint
You have started going to Big school and I can see that the big building and lots of people do frighten you a bit and you grow anxious. Your playschool was in a tiny room with faces you had grown familiar with over the course of a year and this sudden change to a 4 acre campus is unsettling. You however are taking it bravely and walk into school with a smile and I love you for it.
Everyday in the morning Diddum and I wait for you to get up and say the first words of the day and marvel at whatever it be. Today your words were especially charming since the first thing you told me was, ‘aami Diddum, Dadda aar Mamman ke khub bhalobashi.’ You totally made my day.
Your fascination with swimming has ensured that we register you for swimming classes. Your grin and laughter exhibited your joy. Your total fearlessness had us in awe. Your dadda says you will learn swimming in no time, I am no expert but I want you to be safe and have the most fun. Water truly is your element and you revel in it.
For my birthday you and Dadda made me a cake and its as per your command a Chutki cake since that’s the theme you chose for my birthday. You helped Dadda whisk the batter and wouldn’t let go even to pee and in the process peed in your panty. I cant stop smiling everytime I remember this.
Love you baby.
You so make my life complete.
Mamman Chutki
