1.5 times the wonder

Pim, Pimpum, Chota, Chotkas, Hiya, Kutti, Rini, Rinush, Pumpum, Aarini
You answer to all these names.
You have the wickedest grin and the cutest smile
You can say Byeeee and Hieeee with a glee that’s unmatched
You grab me and give a tight hugga that makes my heart burst with joy.
Your mimic call to  your Dad "Marrieeeeeee" to rhyme with my Parryieee lights up his day

Your curls bother you too much and the sweep of your impatient hand delights us all

You give AC a glimpse of the daughter he never had with your cuddling up to him
Sanchali wears a bindi just so you will take it away with your lil fingers

You bring a smile to your ailing Daddum
Even your otherwise silent Thammam always has something to say to you
Diddum thinks you are the smartest, naughtiest, cutest, bestest girl on earth
Buttercup feels you are the only one around whom she has to be careful

You my dear miracle maker are all of this and much much more.

Today as you turn 18 months old….I wish you all the best for the coming years.
I know time will fly and soon you will be celebrating your 18th birthday as well.
Just know then and now….you will always be loved this much and more

I'm always amazed at how simply and beautifully you put your feelings down - you notice the split-second joys your daughter brings even to the smallest things. This post makes me yearn for Aarini - I wish i could reach across the distance and give her a nice, big squeeze :)

Wishing Aarini lots of love and happiness. Loved reading this blog, you have expressed the thoughts so nicely that I can imagine her giggle and naughtiness. I am sure she will enjoy reading this blog and more to come when she grows up!

Katchak...katchak...katchak! Bhlew...maaaaa....ki...ki...bhlew a language better understood by people under 18. In this case 18 months, but I can perfectly relate to these words when I attach a different looking Aarini to these words & these words start making so much more sense. For example the glitter in her eyes, complimented by a maughty smile when she says 'katchak'- it is the expression of achieving something, which might be as disgusting as falling on her face on a plat full of chilly pickles that Pinku was eating from & standing up to show to the world the fruits of her conquest. Or while simply snatching away the bindi from Sanchali's forhead; or sneaking a sip out of my whisky glass all while her grandmum is glaring at her.
'Bhlew' is an expression in futility when she is about to go & do something wicked & is annihilated by me (mostly) with a stern 'Naaaa...' or the rhythmic 'No,no,no,no...no,no,no,no...' (the song from the movie No Entry) by Sanchali! The 'bhlew' is to divert your attention to something else with a very impish smile betraying the wickedness that is planning for the next minute. How can we ever forget our original adventurer.
I remember Parry asking inviting me the Surya Nagar home way before I managed to visit & I really ried that fact that I had delayed a fascinating liaison for a little too long.
By birth I am a bohemian & keep drifting away from one place of satiation to another; log, stock & barrel. So my next sojourn might well take me away from the 18 & under image of this kid, but I shall always cherish the 12 out of these 18 months when I was party to all her antics & watched intently as she crawled on one leg & graduated to a drunken walk, culminating into a darting run!
Pinku was right when she said Aarini is the daughter I didn't have & yes before long she'll turn 18 again & I just hope her parents allow me the privilege to shoot a commercial with her as my lead model...so what if I am retired then...but will surely try & pull out a coup!

Hmm,late in the cyberworld unlike in the real one. Darling Nushi, be ye happier, greater, than we all have been and can be.

@mixedbrew: the visitor from DxB who is long overdue in the real world.Welcome.

@Neeta: Hi nice to know you. Welcome to our world

@AC: Thanks for that really sweet message of farewell from you.Sometimes our paths cross and sometimes we are merely ships that pass in the night.I know am glad that we spent some wonderful moments together. Will preserve this for posterity so that Aarini can travel with her elder sis and plague you for that promised shot

There are a number of typos...pls disregard!
The deal about the commercial is on...all the time as soon as the li'l one turns 18 or looks about that age (which might happen sooner)! Guess I have to carve a role for big sis, too!
